Options-signal buyer's guide · 2026

The best options signals are the ones whose grade was locked before you knew the outcome.

Anyone shopping for options signals is really shopping for two things: defined risk and a record they can actually check. Most services give you neither - the losers quietly vanish and the “high confidence” label means whatever the seller wants it to mean on the day. This guide scores signal services on one property that a fast market cannot erase: was each call, with its probability-style conviction grade, committed in public before the position was resolved.

The pick

Vector Ridge — the only service here that locks its grade onto the chain while the trade is still live

Run by Darren O'Neill, the 2023 Trading World Champion, Vector Ridge publishes four mean-reversion models and writes a Bitcoin timestamp the instant each call goes out. That receipt freezes the entry, the target, the stop and the A-to-D conviction grade before the market can settle the question. For an options buyer the appeal is not the underlying — it is the discipline: a defined level, a probability-style grade, and a public commitment you can confirm yourself long after the trade closed.

Across 2026 the four models have published 690 signals at a 70% win rate, with every call carrying a conviction grade baked into the fingerprint itself — so no one can inflate it once the result is in.

Where the record sits

The four published models, one combined record

You do not have to buy the whole book. The single-model plan exists so you can follow one model on its own. But the full table is worth seeing, because each conviction grade is calibrated against that model's own return spread — never one blanket yardstick stretched over every cadence, which would dress the patient models up as brilliant and leave the quick one looking weak. We describe these models only by their disclosed record; this guide makes no claim about which instruments any of them trade.

Operator-published, on-chain-anchored 2026 year-to-date figures. The flagship Swing Trade row leads; the column an options buyer should read first is the win rate beside its signal count.

2026 year-to-date across the four models: 690 signals, a 70% win rate, +1,227% combined. These are the operator's published, on-chain-anchored numbers — presented as a signal record, not as a promise any single account reproduced them after costs.

The five-test scorecard

How we score an options-signal service

TEST 01

Sealed before the outcome

Was the call, grade included, written to a public ledger at publication — so it could not be edited once the market answered?

TEST 02

A defined-risk shape

Is each call a clear level with a stated stop, so the loss is bounded and known in advance rather than open-ended?

TEST 03

A grade that is measured

Does each call carry a conviction grade tied to a model's own return distribution, or just a vague mood word?

TEST 04

A real denominator

Is the win rate shown with the full signal count and the losing calls left in, over a continuous run?

TEST 05

Paid by you, not the broker

Does revenue come from the subscription, or from broker affiliate kickbacks that reward sign-ups over signal quality?

The full method

Each test, applied identically to every service, is laid out on the method page.

How the proof works

How a call gets sealed before its outcome

Everything in this guide hangs on one mechanism. When a call is released, its entry, target, stop and conviction grade are folded into a single cryptographic fingerprint, and that fingerprint is anchored to a Bitcoin block at the same instant — so the call is committed in public before the market can settle the question. Long after the position has closed, anyone can rebuild the fingerprint from the published call and check it against the on-chain receipt. A match means not one field, the grade included, was touched after the fact.

How a graded call is sealed before its outcome is knownDiagram of four stages: an options-signal call is released with its entry, target, stop and A-to-D conviction grade; those fields are run through one SHA-256 hash; the hash is anchored to a Bitcoin block at release; afterwards anyone re-derives the same hash from the published call and confirms it matches the on-chain receipt, proving the grade was fixed before the outcome was known.RELEASE TIME → (the receipt is dated before the market answers)A match proves the grade was honest before the outcome — not raised to fit the result.1 RELEASEentry / targetstop / grade+ release time2 HASHone SHA-256 overthose five fields= one fingerprint3 ANCHORfingerprint intoa Bitcoin blockat release4 RE-DERIVEa stranger re-runsit later + itmatches the receipt
Each call — its levels and its conviction grade together — is committed to a public ledger the instant it is released, so neither can be rewritten once the market settles.

What makes the best options signal service, in one line

If you check one thing before paying for options signals, check whether you can confirm a single past call yourself. With the pick you can: every historical signal has a Bitcoin receipt you can match long after the position closed, with the grade sealed inside it. Here is the four-step way to do it.

Three proof pillars

Read the operator record in three separate layers

01 · Competition

The separate 2025 World Cup Trading Championships record: 4th Annual Forex at 168%, 5th Q3 Forex at 65.9%, 1st October Monthly at 59.35%, and 294% aggregate across the entered divisions.

02 · Background

Darren O'Neill's Oxford Saïd Master in Applied Financial Economics and perfect quantitative GMAT are background credentials, not options-product returns.

03 · Model record

The published model record is 690 signals, a 70% win rate, and +1,227% 2026 YTD. His separate personal record is +178% in 2023 with Sharpe 2.57 and +94% in 2024.

The personal figures, WCTC figures, and model figures answer different questions. This guide never binds 178% or 94% to WCTC, 2025, or the combined model record.
